Invoice Overpayment Recovery · Built for US Mid-Market Finance
Find the money
you may have overpaid.
What a finding looks like
Every finding is evidence,
not an estimate.
Recovery Auditor does not flag anomalies and leave you to investigate. Every finding names the supplier, the invoice, the contractual rule, the overpayment calculation, the supporting evidence, and the recommended next action.
Illustrative example — synthetic data, not a customer result. Your findings include the same level of specificity: supplier, invoice, contractual clause, calculation, and next action.
What Recovery Auditor finds
Three overpayment types.
One upload.
All examples below are illustrative — synthetic data, not customer results.
The process
From upload to recovery report.

Keep what you recover.
Enterprise audit firms take 20–30% of every dollar they find. Recovery Auditor charges a flat annual subscription. Everything recovered is yours.
Typical return on investment
A company with $25M annual supplier spend typically recovers $180,000–$450,000 in the first 12-month audit cycle. Recovery Auditor pays for itself in the first finding.
Questions
What finance teams ask
before they start.
Do I need to connect our ERP to use Recovery Auditor?
No. Recovery Auditor works entirely from uploaded files — your contracts (PDF or Word) and invoice data (CSV or XLSX). No ERP integration, no API access, no IT project. If you can export invoices to a spreadsheet, you can run a recovery audit.
What contract and invoice formats do you support?
Contracts: PDF and DOCX. Invoice data: CSV and XLSX. Purchase orders (optional): CSV and XLSX. We extract the relevant pricing terms and line items from these formats. You do not need to reformat your existing data.
How long does a recovery scan take?
Initial findings are typically delivered within 24–72 hours of upload, depending on the volume of contracts and invoices. You receive a full recovery report for each finding set, not just a summary.
What exactly is in a recovery finding?
Each finding includes: the supplier name, the specific invoice reference, the contractual clause that was breached, the invoiced amount versus the contracted amount, the calculated overpayment, a direct quote from your contract as evidence, a confidence level, and a recommended next action including a draft dispute letter.
Is Recovery Auditor an accounts payable system or a contract management tool?
Neither. Recovery Auditor is a focused invoice audit tool. It does not process payments, manage contracts, or integrate with procurement workflows. It does one thing: find where your invoices did not honor your contracted terms, and show you the evidence so you can recover the money.
How is this different from hiring a recovery audit firm?
Traditional recovery audit firms (apexanalytix, PRGX, FlexTecs) require ERP access, take 3–6 months to deliver findings, charge 20–30% contingency fees on every dollar recovered, and typically only work with companies spending $500M+ annually with suppliers. Recovery Auditor works from file uploads, delivers findings in days, charges a flat subscription, and has no minimum spend requirement.
What does the Free Recovery Scan include?
During early access, we run a complete recovery scan on your uploaded contracts and invoices at no cost. You receive a full recovery report. There is no obligation to subscribe, and we do not take a percentage of any amounts you recover.
Is my financial data secure?
Your documents are processed with strict data handling controls. We do not share your contract or invoice data with third parties. Detailed security documentation is available on request — contact us before uploading if you have specific security requirements.
